Author: Elizabeth Haynes & Elly Griffiths 2015.

Publisher: Myriad Editions & Quercus Publishing.
Never Alone, Smoke & Mirrors.

Elizabeth Haynes and myself in the local Jarrolds store in Norwich. Getting my book signed on a wet October evening.

It was a pleasure to listen to this lady, Elly Griffiths, she had a voice that projected and you could tell she taught in a college. She spoke to everyone. A new author for me.

The ladies showed a great friendship between the two of them an d interviewed each other.I enjoyed this concept.Lots of giggles had and felt very relaxed.

Elizabeth Haynes is a former police intelligence analyst who lives in my home county of Norfolk with her husband and son. Her first novel, 'Into the Darkest Corner', was Amazon's best book of the year 2011 and is a New York Times bestseller. It has been published in thirty-seven countries. Her second novel, 'Revenge of the Tide', was published by Myriad in 2012 and her third, 'Human Remains', was published in 2013. She is also the author of two police procedural crime novels, 'Under a Silent Moon' and 'Behind Closed Doors'.

Elly Griffiths real name is actually Domenica De Rosa. Not many people know this. She does write under this name also.

Elly Griffiths was born in London in 1963, she moved to Brightonwith her family when she was five yrs old. Elly wrote her first murder mystery when she was 11 years old set in Rottingdean, near where she still lives.

Elly read English at Kings College London and after graduating, worked in a library for a magazine and then as a publicity assistant for Harper Collins.

She became Elly Griffiths after her agent told her she needed a 'crime name'.

Publisher: Gollancz/Orion Publishing Group Ltd.
The Hanging Tree.

Our tickets to see this amazingly funny man. One of my favourite book signings, I have to say.

Loving the brightly coloured 'River of London' series books. I really want them all in hardback to go with my copy of the Hanging tree.Must get in touch with the publisher.

Self confessed Mr Lazy. I wonder how he managed to sign all those books! Well done Ben.

This man is a great talker. How lovely it was to listen to him.

And, there was more......to come....

He was so happy, I don't think he stopped smiling. He radiated such warmth.

The obligatory photo of the signing with Ben Aaronovitch.

Ben Aaronovitch was born and raised in London and all his work has reflected his abiding satisfaction and love for what he moderately refers to as the 'capital of the world'. He has written for many popular tv series, including 'Casualty' and 'Doctor Who'. He has also been a book seller but now writes full time. Unsurprisingly he lives in London.

All five copies of the previous Peter Grant books have been 'Sunday Times' hardback bestsellers.

The 'light' refreshment. 😏

Extermination, hence the empty chair. Richard, where are you?

Lets get in and travel to the stars.........

Waterstones' do know how to put on a good display.

Richard Dinnick, in full flow. He was so excitable, full of passion.Like a child in a sweet shop. A real Peter Pan when talking anything Doctor Who. He was wonderful to listen to.

"Do you mind a photo or two Richard?" "Of course not, I'll pretend to still write and I'll get up in a bit too".

"Why, thankyou very much Richard."

The Bedlam Stacks.

Cute little tickets to see our home grown regular talent, Natasha Pulley.

Another beautiful display by Waterstones Norwich.

The display helped give the book a very mystical feel with the lamps which had moths and butterflies and clockworks on them.

I was so chuffed that I got a beautiful hardback book this time. They only produced just over 2000 of her first book, The Watchmaker of Filigree Street, so I missed the hardback. What a headache-a mismatch!

Natasha can only just see over that 'lectern'. Her she is reading a section from her new book The Bedlam Stacks. Can't wait to read it. It is actually a prequel to The Watchmaker of Filigree Street.

Natasha Pulley, a beautiful reader and speaker but very quietly spoken and so the microphone was very much needed.

She is so photogenic. In fact I am quite happy with this one of me. Normally, I am not very good in photo's........

......so, I am going to show two of them :-D.
